No control over the RAG pipeline
You can’t customize how NotebookLM retrieves information from your sources. It decides which passages are most relevant to your query.💡 Workaround: Be more specific in your questions. The more precise your query, the more targeted the retrieval.
Static website captures
When you paste a URL, NotebookLM captures the page at that moment. It doesn’t stay live.💡 Workaround: Use Google Docs as sources for any content that updates regularly. They auto-sync.

NotebookLM is grounded in your sources — which means it’s not a great tool for open-ended creative generation when you have no sources to constrain it. ChatGPT or Claude are better for that.
